Outlook Express Setup for new Mail Server |
| Step 1: Open Outlook Express and select TOOLS from the main menu. |

| Step 2: Select ACCOUNTS from the drop down menu. |
|

| Step 3: Look for your El Paso Tel Account with the type of MAIL/DEFAULT; or click ADD to create a new account. |
|

Step 4: Server Information: Select the SERVER tab and make sure that POP3 is pop3.elpasotel.net and that SMTP is smtp.elpasotel.net. Incoming Mail Server: Account Name needs to contain your complete email account address, ie. chris.sgaraglino@elpasotel.net, and enter your password if you have not already done so. Make sure that "Log on using Secure Password Authentication" is NOT checked. Outgoing Mail Server: Make sure that you CHECK the "My server requires authentication"
Now click the SETTINGS button. |

Step 5: On the "Outgoing Mail Server" screen, under "Login Information", make sure that "Use same settings as my incoming mail server" is selected.
Step 6: Select OK
Step 7: Select OK
Step 8: Select CLOSE
Step 9: Click SEND/RECEIVE to test new settings. |
